Parents often talk about all the time they didn’t spend watching TV. Truth is there really wasn’t anything to watch if you were growing up in the 80s. There was plenty of time to get bored too. But if you loved books and loved to read, time would pass pleasantly enough.
As educators and parents look to inculcate the reading habit in children, we at Kartee felt that one excellent way was to introduce a newsmagazine to 3rd and 4th graders. At this age, kids really start to pick up on reading skills and also become aware of the larger world.
The PostMan is our foray into publishing a top-notch news magazine that provides current affairs, science and tech news, wildlife, even political news in an easy to read and digest format. It is colourful of course but more importantly, the graphics convey a lot. The generation of kids growing up now catch and absorb information visually a lot more. We have designed it completely in-house to ensure that all the news and accompanying graphics are appropriate and relevant to that age group.
And it is fun! Even adults want to have fun. We had fun making it and you dear kartees will have fun reading it!
